No. Stitch2Stream works with any DirectShow (Windows), AVFoundation (macOS), or V4L2 (Linux) camera. GoPro Max, Insta360 X3/X4, Ricoh Theta X, Samsung Gear 360, custom dual-lens rigs — if it shows up as a camera on your system, it works.

Starter Pro unlocks GPU acceleration, 4K recording, WHIP/SRT streaming, and watermark-free output. Creator adds AI neural seam detection, YOLOv8 subject tracking, OpenXR headset preview, spatial Ambisonics audio, NDI output, the full plugin marketplace, and up to 8 cameras at 8K.

Yes. Cancel any time from your account settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the billing period, then reverts to Free.

No. The free plan uses CPU-based stitching via OpenCV and runs on any modern laptop. A CUDA-capable NVIDIA GPU (RTX 2000 series or newer) unlocks real-time 4K/8K output with the Starter Pro and Creator plans. Apple Silicon Macs use the Metal GPU path automatically.

Cloudflare Stream, Twitch WHIP, Millicast, Mux, Akamai, Edgio, and any custom WHIP-compatible endpoint. RTMP targets include YouTube Live, Facebook Live, Twitch, and any custom RTMP server. SRT output works with Haivision, OBS, FFmpeg, and compatible ingest points.

Yes. The C++ Plugin SDK is open-source (IStitchPlugin and IOutputPlugin interfaces on GitHub). Anyone can build and distribute plugins. Installing built-in marketplace plugins requires a Creator plan or a one-time purchase.
